Advocating for flexible work, empowering individuals and transforming lives.
The Flexible Path is open again.

I am writing a newsletter today and I will go into greater detail about what to expect in the community but here’s the quick and dirty update.
I’ve decided not to do cohorts going forward. It’s a lot of pressure to be constantly launching - 4 launches per year is a lot - and I’m not really a fan of artificial FOMO. Also, I think launches put the emphasis on new members and undervalues existing members. You need both but the people who stuck around and dedicate time to the community are the magic.
I’ve decided to offer a 2 month parental leave and a compassionate care leave. Life happens and you might have temporary financial challenges and life events that come up but still want to feel supported by community. A community about flexible work should have flexible policies, no?
More details to come.
Why should you join?
The process of redesigning work is cyclical. I’ve always found that there is a push and pull when it comes to workplace flexibility and right now we seem to be pulling away from corporate support of flexible work. That doesn’t mean there isn’t demand for it, just denial.
It’s a power dynamic - an ebb and flow.
Strategy is knowing how to adapt. You have to assess current state and make a plan.
We don’t talk enough about the skills needed to self-advocate for flexibility, to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty. How do you influence decisions when you have no power? How do you remain top of mind when you are invisible? How can you manage up when you have managers and leaders with very different mindsets and worldviews? How do you bolster trust within an organization?
These are the skills we are going to develop in the community along with imagination training and futures thinking.
I’ll be hosting a live session each day this week at 11 am to demo my Mighty Networks setup and answer questions. I’ll add this as events on LinkedIn but the sessions will take place on Mighty.
